Increase Strength
With New Building Codes:
- Nailing patterns should develop sufficient uplift resistance for winds in lower category Hurricanes (Category I, II, III)
- If the building envelope is breached, internal pressures can double, exceeding sheathing (plywood) uplift resistance.
- Category IV & V Hurriances may develop sufficient uplift to remove roof sheathing (plywood) without window or door failures
FOAMSEAL increases the uplift resistance of a roof structure!
Water Tight
Roofs:
- Roof sheathing (plywood) is installed with a 1/8" to 1/4" space at the seams
- A gap of 12 to 24 square inches per 4x8 sheet of sheathing
- A Home can have approx. 200 sheets of sheathing, exposing up to 33 sq ft of OPEN SPACE for water to leak through
- THIS IS THE EQUIVALENT OF ONE FULL SHEET OF PLYWOOD NOT INSTALLED
FOAMSEAL can block 99% of ALL water intrusion
